God is the creator and sustainer of all things and the source and end of all truth.
Human beings, while created in the image and likeness of God, have rejected God’s love and direction and have become estranged from him, falling into sin. The human race is utterly unable to remedy its lost condition, except by the mercy of God.
Out of the depths of his love and mercy, God chose to bring his creations back into a relationship with him. The Father accomplished this salvation by sending Jesus to live a perfect life, and then die as a substitute for us, bearing the penalty for our sin on the cross. We are restored to God only through faith in the substitute life, death, and resurrection of god the Son whose name is Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ is the incarnate and begotten Son of God, truly God and truly man, who defeated death through his bodily resurrection from the grave and ascension to the right hand of God the Father. He will return in glory and triumph, bodily and visibly, to judge the entire human race and to receive his people to himself.
God the Holy Spirit indwells God’s people, giving them the strength and wisdom to trust Christ, follow him, and experience his love, truth, and power.
The scriptures are the written Word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit and without error as originally given. The scriptures are the supreme authority in matters of faith and conduct.
God has saved us in order that we might enjoy him and live for his glory. God desires that we live holy and obedient lives, not to earn his favor, but rather to show him our love and gratitude.
